Corporal Kevin L Aigner died after suffering a medical emergency while manning his post during the Steiner Ranch Fires of September 2011.
Corporal Kevin Lee Aigner is memorialized at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. and at the Travis County Peace Officer Memorial and at the State of Texas Peace Officer Memorial in Austin, Texas.
On July 27, 2019 the Precinct 2 building was renamed the Kevin L. Aigner Building in dedication and honor of his service.
