Travis County Pct. 2 Constable Deputies rushed to assist on an emergency call in the City of Lakeway right outside the Village of The Hills where a plane crashed on the afternoon of March 14th. Officers helped to divert traffic and assisted Lakeway Police Department and Lake Travis Fire and Rescue. The airplane crashed into an intersection while attempting to land at the Lakeway Airpark. Tragically, a student pilot passed away from injuries while the certified pilot instructor was seriously injured but expected to recover.
